Back From Yosemite

In case anybody out there has actually been waiting for another entry, rest assured that more are soon to come. I've been away from cyberspace for the past nine days "vacationing" with my parents and brother around Yosemite and San Francisco, where my brother has been doing an internship this summer. (He'll be entering his third year at GW Law School this fall.) One nice thing about my new "job" is that I can take vacations whenever I want.

Why did you put the word "vacationing" in quotation marks? Is it because spending any time with your family is less like a vacation and more like a living hell? I'm about to go on "vacation" with my family, so I'm interested.

You'll notice I also put quotes around "job." The quotes around "vacationing" parallel that. Since I'm not sure if playing poker should be called a job, I'm also not sure if taking a break from it should be called a vacation. At this point in my life, spending time with my family is not actually all that torturous, but it is certainly more of an obligation I feel than something I actually want to do. In the future I'm going to make sure to keep visits to under a week; I suggest you do the same.

Ah, that makes sense.

Keith, tell some of your other friends to post comments to this thing. I'm sick of hearing from Axel Foley. There were only three Beverly Hills Cops movies. I think he should go on a long "vacation."

Nice picture.

For a guy who's rubbing his nipple, the General seems awfully grumpy-looking.

Alex--first off, fuck you. This whole "talk shit on Axel Foley" thing is wearing thin. I'm sorry that my blog peaked at dizzying heights and is now gone, like James Dean. We'll just have to rely on meat and potatoes like "Seven Deadly Cynics" to get us through these hard times.

Second off, were you quoting from the beginning of "Beverly Hills Cop?" Foley's boss tells him to take a vacation, and that if he gets involved in the case of his friend's death, it will be a permanent one. Or something like that, I think.

No, I was merely playing off the vacation theme.

Haha..wow, I'm watching the Yankees game and they just started to play "The Heat is On." Good timing.
